Folks,
What are the chances of getting to buy Dangote Flour stocks on the sec market soon after the listing? I am very weary of the IPO. it doesn't look very promising with the huge possibility of over-subscription and return of investor's monies. With only 40% available (500m units), the chances of even 50% allotment is very slim. So the question is: Can't we wait till after the listing and buy from the secondary market before it hits say N19? |

I will be happy if I get it at 19. Assuming I want to subcribe for 1000 units. I will by 500 units from the PO and five hundred units fron the SM.

That it will be oversubscribed is not in doubt. Even the issuing houses have prefential allotment before the public. But you will definetely not find it on the floor to buy anytime soon. So, do not plan on buying on the floor. I would advise that you buy only a little (like 50,000 units maximum) so you will not have returned funds.

i guess 100000 units would be a good risk, and try and buy it thru an issuing house or one of the top stock broking houses in the country.
as per buying from the market be ready to part with like 25 naira even at dat sef u will count urself lucky i would encourage investors 2 buy thru family members there by buying in low volumes with different applications, but of course this also has its stress but believe me it is worth it. |

1. ur family memeber must have an operational CSCS account cos of verification or purchase. 2. if its not directly credited into the persons CSCS acc the cert might not arrive at the same time dats if i arrives at all 3. the stress of verification when the different certs arrive taking into consideration the time u want 2 dispose the stock unless its strictly on long term basis. 4. God forbid it if something by chance happens 2 the person making the person indisposed as at the time u need 2 verify the certificate 5. unless u run a joint stock broking account when u want 2 dispose of the stock u need the person 2 act and u know everyday is key in this industry and the lists go on and on and on........ I hope i ve tried at least 2 let u see some of these factors i call stress but like i said in my last write up in this case its worth it. |

I think this offer is a good one, it will ride on the back of DSR to success.
My major assignment this morning is to go all out to hunt for the prospectus this morning. This will be a long time holding for me.

All depends on you stock broker - within 4 day of the transaction, your shares shouldl be posted on you CSCS account. You need work with you broker for such information.
