Thumbs up Dangote flour

The Punch Newspaper has reported that Dangote Flour's IPO will be floated soon on the NSE. Prospective investors will pay between N14-16 for the long awaited stocks. This forum has been hinting at the possibility of this IPO for sometime now and members have hopefully been saving towards this.

I believe 1.25bn shares will be available which is very good considering this offer might be oversubscribed. What is the probability of being allotted 50,000 shares? Is this considered a large amount?

Oh yes I for also feel that the offer will be oversubscribed cos many investors have been waiting for this opportunity. The fact that it is coming from Dangote also makes it very attractive as some people hsa attributed to him the quality of having a Mida's touch.

I think you may run away with your 50000 units just make sure you purschase from the issuing houses directly. I don't know why anyway.

Jacobian,
The offer is in the coolers and waiting for the right time to rear its head. The only unresolved issue is the omde of offer. Most financial analysts are of the opinion that it is made offer for sale so that the proceeds goes staraight to Dangote"s pocket. But we have the bests hands on the deal. They include IBTC,FCMB,ZENITH and others.
I think within the next month it will be out. They are looking at the price of N14. per shahre.

Kindest regards

Is it legal/possible to buy IPO shares using 2 different brokers? Thinking of splitting up my Dangote Flour shares, one for long term and the other for trading. Is this feasible?

Why the gamble? What if you are penalised? I'd rather you buy as one then after verification you can trade with part and keep the rest. Even I know you can sell some then request certificate for the rest. That you can keep for ghreat grand children!
An alternative would be to buy one as you and the next in the family name or joint or in your child's name or children's names for long term.

Ask your broker who the issuing house is. They have inside information, besides that is part of their job as your broker. Whatever they tell you make sure you share the info here.

FCMB is the lead issuing house, but Zenith, Fidelity and IBTC are also joint issuing houses and some other 6 houses.

Default Dangote Flour ipo

I believe it is overpriced however i am interested as the price will appreciate by investor sentiment, being another Dangote company, and also becuase share dumping will be minimal since onle 25% is being sold. No disrespect to this gentleman. The company has been valued at 70 billion naira, while the known market leader, Flour Mills of Nig. Plc has a cureent market capitalization os of about 117 billion naira. I read somewhere that Honeywell Flour is next to flour mills.
I wonder what the regulatory agencies are doing about unfair delay in issuance of share certificates. Has the share certificate of Dangote Sugar plc being received by anyone yet? Please help!
