Hey ppl..
windywendy... welcome back.. Yes its the Big Treat food chain, comprising of "Big Treat Ltd, Happy Bite Confectionery Ltd, Bakers Delight Confectionery Ltd and Happy Chef Restaurants Ltd." They are expanding rapidly and just built a mega bakery in Lagos. ------------------------------------------------------------- Big Treat, 5, Opebi Road, Ikeja, Lagos. Big Treat, 1st Avenue, Festac Town, Festac, Lagos. Big Treat, Plot 5, Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Lagos. Happy Bite, 239, Aba Road, PortHarcourt Big Treat, 5, U.I Secretariat Road, Bodija, Ibadan. Baker’s Delight, 80, Ahmadu Bello way, Kaduna. Baker’s Delight, 1A, Sultan Bello Road, by Angwa Serik, Kaduna. ----------------------------------------------------------------- They apparently wanted to do a private placement, but might call it off as they have been able to get all the money they want. It might be listed sometime next year. I guess we will have to wait and see. http://www.sec.gov.ng/newmergers.htm (number 28) |

An official of SEC confirmed that Big Treat is seeking approval for an IPO slated for early 2008. My guess is that the coy is enjoyin so much patronage on the NSE (listed N2.85, rallied to N4.41) that it wants to cash is on the opportunity. My point is why dint they just do an IPO instead of the initial PP they had.

Big treat will be a nice one, just wait untill we see their prospectus and judge their figures. However an entry at this point is a nice way of taking position for the pre or post PO price appreciation. What do we think?

Not just sentiment.i enjoy their bread very much as such im buying.its the first of its kind on the exchange.and wit da IPO money they can upgrade facilities.this will boost production and require lesser manpower.it will reduce cost and improve revenue translating into profits.i look at it as a medium to long term stock.im buying most likely
