Default investing in the shares/stocks

Hi all,

Am a complete novice to the stockmarket and would like some advise on how to invest. I have been advised that buying in the stockmarket is a good way of investing esspecially when you are not currently leaving in Nigeria. I am able to afford at least #50k a month, can you pls advise on how to invest properly with this.

if i buy shares from the secondary market now will i benefit from the bonus and dividient declared.
