Your decision to sell should depend on your evaluation of if the market would soon recover. From my own view the market may take about one more week to begin to change.

...if the insurance stocks in ur portfolio have terrible fundamentals then selling them may not be a bad option.

But to be honest the bearish market was for me o. i will not have had such opportunity to invest this much. I hope my loan clicks early next week.

when and why u entre a stock is very impotant. agree one make mistake sometimes, if u pay more enphasis to news on business generally, you will not burn moch of your fingers and hammer in many cases. Insurance coy is not the only stock falling. it is a total crashing mkt, this is similar to what happen betweenjune 2004 and about nov 2005. this is a grate opportunity to hammar if u have any money you can spare for 18mnt b/c the mkt can turn any moment and 'express will leave u'. You may also gamble on the share buy back debate and the margin facility pressure on CBN and put more money. unless you have urgent need of money do not sell but buy more.
i see IEI as too cheap and whoever has money should keep buying even when price keep falling b/c it hidden value is N12 (wait till 3rd qtr b/4 talking of P/E)
