What u said is absolutely correct.. a good percentage of their income from premiun collected is allways channelled to the capital market for their trading.. most of them also have asset management units/accounts with stockbroking firms.... the bears am sure have not taken it kindly with them

UNIC controls the health insurance. UNIC also cleaned their books before now. They should also be making some money from their leisure property at VGC. They have stable stream of income which is good in times like this. They have exposure to Nigerian German though.

Problem is that very many stocks are valuable on the exchange and they don't seem to attract investors at this time. The market is truly volatile. Technically, I don't like UNIC at the moment. It is selling above its year low and profit takers can pull the trigger at anytime.

I am watching that also. It is like 10% above its year low of N0.70. So will watch when it will hit it and enter. I am willing to hold that for the LONG term. Also with UNIC, for short term, you can trade within the N0.70 to N1.20 range. Thats the normal trading range before the ABNORMAl happenings on the NSE

No news. That was quite pricey when you think about the fact that it was selling for like N0.70 some few weeks ago.

Anyway, not much you can do now. I own UNIC but bought at N0.66 so not under the kind of pressure that you are in.

yep,i actually sold almost all my potfolio during the bull run and didnt want to be bored or empty thats why i will rather move to the insurance than banking stocks for now but with a less risk level.but i think they are doing well for now but slow,meanwhile i have a long term period for it unless.... .meanwhile wen it was selling for 0.70 i might perfer banking sector, anyway it all the game.gain of loss

They are in INSURANCE and many more. They now have other subsidiaries. So they are no longer ONLY an insurance company.

I was actually looking for some number crunching,fact munching tips that informed why you've got Crusader on your radar from you.Are their subsidiaries doing well or contributing much to the overall group's bottomline.Are there any factors that may push up the price within this second half of the year.Their share price seems to rise or fall in line with the Insurance sectors index.

i think the whole insurance sector is heading and most likely would stay in the kobo region for a long time, the market is just too small and there are just too many players, i think that is why a lot of these guys ended up becoming traders in our stock market and this is evident in all the write off's we've been seeing

i dont think so,but might play within the kobo range for long.when there was a free fall then, it only got to 58k to trun back.
