I'm tired of waiting either for them to List or for dividend. Since how many years now, its only 30K i don collect from these guys. Even GTA wey start the process after them has concluded and listed.

So much for 25Billion capital base and the Idea of owning a bank. These guys are jokers.

Please can anyone in the house confirm that IGI PLC declared a bonus of 1 to 10 for the year ended 31/12/2008 ?
If so how can we receive the bonus as they are not listed on the exchange yet ?
Also any news on when they are going to be listed?

Thank you.

It should be mailed to you, or why don't you contact the IGI's Registrars?

It's not a confirmation o, I was trying to answer this part of his question: "If so how can we receive the bonus as they are not listed on the exchange yet ? " So it was advice like you suggested.

Shareholders commend IGI's business expansion program[/COLOR]me

SHAREHOLDERS have commended Industrial and General Insurance Plc (IGI), Nigeria's leading insurance company, for the company's results-oriented local and continental business expansion programme, which yielded great dividends in terms of the size of the balance sheet, group profit and stakeholder value in spite of the harsh operating environment in 2008.
The commendation was given in Lagos at the company's 17th yearly General Meeting (AGM), which took place on Wednesday, December 23, 2009.
Whilst applauding the group's N1.928 billion profit before taxation and industry-leading balance sheet size of N44.4 billion, shareholders urged the company to maintain its long-term investment strategy and portfolio diversification for sustained corporate growth and stability.
They expressed satisfaction with the company's performance as well as its vision of deepening channels for the delivery of financial services to customers in the Nigerian market during the year when the company obtained a licence to run a separate company for the management of pensions.
Executive Vice Chairman, Mr. Remi Olowude, said that the strategic decision to move into the continent helped to mitigate the impact of the global economic recession and the collapse of stock value in the Nigerian capital market on the company's overall performance.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman, Gen. (Dr.) Yakubu Gowon, said: "This is the first time our company would be presenting a Group Financial Statement" to incorporate and consolidate the results of IGI's Nigerian and foreign subsidiaries.
He re-stated the company's commitment to maintaining steady growth and announced "a bonus issue of one new share for every ten shares previously held at the close of business on November 30, 2009."
The chairman also expressed optimism that shareholders should expect to earn handsome dividends in subsequent years when the full effects of the current efforts begin to manifest.
"With our industry-leading capital base and shareholders' funds, the strength and knowledge of our people and enhanced deployment of internet-based technology for our operations, our company has moved closer to our goals of becoming the number one insurance company in Africa and a leading player in the global insurance market," he said.

When are these jokers going to list. Thats the only way people can punish them for keeping silent on issues raised.

I wonder who these shareholders praising the company are.

A company that doesnt keep promises and keeps investors in the dark.

My fingers are itching, I cant wait for them to list, regardless of their performance this is a stock i'll gladly offload. Need to know how my money is doing and having my destiny in my own hands instead of in the hand of Yakubu Gowon a president who didnt know what to do with money.
