Not as easy as that, stocks that are undervalued today may become overvalued next day as prices change, but watch the p/e ratios in some stocks, the ones with lowest p/e should be considered for closer look.
bye.

@ Ehis

Looks like you got this list from apt securities.
Just a note of warning:

In my opinion, their research unit is nothing to write home about. Besides that list has not been updated for a while so maybe you should it with a pint of salt.

Also it is not as easy to soothsay the whole market just like that. You might be very convinced about 8 companies but 30+ should raise eye brows

If not for the fact that we have good analyst in this forum, Baba moderator, you would have imagine the number of people that would have used that info to make investment decision.

The fellow that pasted the info has no fault as he thought we was helping. But please do let us check our info before postig them in a forum like this as it is capable of misleading the uninformed investors in this forum.

Thanks

Hi Ehis,
I like your analysis, as in, the potential price. Could you please teach me how I can analyse stocks like that by myself. I mean, how I would determine whether undervalued or overvalued. And the potential price, and if possible, the how long it might take to reach that price.
Thank you.

Ebuka you have just been told and advised by senior members of this forum that the list is old and unreliable.

Yes Ebuka the info is not up to date however if you want to know how to do the calculations,
1. you have to invest some time training.
Read books on investments and read what others put in forums like this...
2. Open a stock broking account then
3. start investing..

PLEASE GET SOME EDUCATION B4 STARTING TO TRADE
Stock market nigeria has offered a free e-book to start with read it for it will at least teach you some of the vocabulary of stock broking...

Lastly, these are my suggestions... the decision is still yours
Cheers

Stockbear,
A suggestion
Please encourage our contibutors to state where they got the information from i.e. a web link etc...
If the said information is from APT then it is nailed but what if it isn't then it is left to speculation...
If links are attached it will attach some credibility.
I guess its bashing from forums like this that have made cashcraft put up a questionaire asking individuals for ways of improving their services...
Ladies and gentlemen more grease to your elbows..
Cheers

I have read that e-book and many other books, but I am yet to find a book that teaches how those things can be determined. Please if you have any book of such class, please! let me know. I will be waiting for your replies. Thank you.

The information you require is easy to get, start trading stocks and learn from your mistakes, they say failure is the most effective teacher.

But it will be better for you to visit investopedia.com for more trading info.

Also visit richcontentzone.com and go to investing topics.

I'd suggest you get stockwatch weekly magazine. There is a section there for undervalued stocks

Default Which insurance stocks to buy

Can someone advice me on which insurance stocks to buy.

Someone recommended NEM, Goldinsure, Univinsure, Lasaco and Standard Alliance PO. Can someone comment on this since we have gurus in the stock business in the house.

Thank you

rexdudley,
The stocks you listed are good but its dificult to say which is better especially in the short term.
For insurance, I will like you to also consider MBENEFIT and SOVERIN INSURE. they have good fundamentals as long you are not playing for Short term...

Again, please note that this is not a recommendation to buy these stocks.
