Default Insurance Stocks 2008 And After

I personally view the insurance stocks in my Portfolio as medium to long-term stocks hence I am personally not too bothered about the fluctuations in the prices of these stocks, even though I have bought them virtually at their peak prices.

But I have been wondering, and don't know if it is safe to find support in my expectations. And what are they? Now my questions:

1) How will the release of the Insurance Capitalization funds trapped in the Escrow account with the CBN impact on the performance of insurance companies who were successful in scaling the recapitalization hurdle? and

2) Is anyone aware if government has started implementing the announced 45% local content insurance policy especially in the Oil and Gas sector?

It will be appreciated if those who have any info can share with the public here. Your contributions are indeed invaluable. Regards
