Law Union surpasses target from public sector, bancassurance, retail business

Law Union & Rock Insurance management review of performance from the company’s regional markets in the Southwest as well as the North and Abuja indicates that the company surpassed set targets for the second quarter in the public sector, bankassurance and retail market business.

The performance review is the company’s strategic tool for monitoring performance and guiding daily management operations.

The company is currently enjoying strong confidence on the stock market, where its share commands fair valuation which experts have predicted would continue for a long time to come.

This, market watchers say, is driven by series of innovations and improvements that have characterised the management of the company in the last four years.

Meanwhile, it has begun the third phase of its information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure upgrade to help drive its operations for better and more efficient service delivery.

By the end of this phase, all regional offices would have been linked to the head office enterprise insurance application.

The ongoing IT infrastructure upgrade continues a trend of steady communication technology improvements in the company since 2004.

How far with this Law union??/
The share seems to be falling in recent wks. I know it has some pretty decent fundamemtals, but seems no support.
Pls is the yr end result out? What are the projections for yr end?/

I dont really know d prob with law union.The FY result is not out yet.... hope its gonna be nice.I expect a PAT of abt 700m naira for d FY.

Based on what i have read in some newspapers, d Q2 is likely going to be far better than Q1.

Anyway...lets wait and see.Cheers.

The fall is not unconnected with the general market condition. As the condition improves, this stock will respond and find support.

Given what we have seen from most insurance companies that have released Q2 results, I would be surprised if Law Union bucks the trend and their Q2 result is better than Q1. If they also invest their funds in the stock market, then their results will not be immune to the "bear hug" that is currently squeezing my portfolio

Let assume the Q2 result turn out to be far better than Q1 what impact will it have on the stock price ?We have seen the result of the giants in the banking sector released and they have not made any tangible effect to made investor happy in terms of price increase ! I wonder when the bear will release his grip .Hispy,we are all chokking.

The Q2 is better than Q1(unlike d others).

Not a bad result considering what exposure of insurance companies to d stock market.

Last year's result was released in the first week of september '07. So keep your fingers crossed, it may come out soon.
