Men, that's crazy!! I think we are going to see another International energy very soon. Perhaps they wanted to move ahead of the PO fever that is going to grip the sector soon. But that's not too good for investors.

Ah Pesadilla,

Surely if they had returned ur money u'd hav complained, now they've bn generous enuf to accomodate 16b units (terrible though) and u still complain.

Sure u'd get the change to sell soon anyway, b4 they decide to do share reconstruction (definitely soon else EPS/PE wd be paultry)

too many shares will simply dilute the ROI, the rally on the coy presently is based on the general rally or bull in the market.

I joined this forum recently and I can say that I am with the right people. My regards to you all. I was contemplating buying universal ins. from the floor but considering that 16b units was listed, I am begining to think otherwise. They must reconstruct soon or the price cannot go up like most other ins. I need your advice on the decision to buy.

I do not think that any Insurance company that was certified in the last exercise should be considered "too small" to handle any amount. I believe we are bound to see the kind of revolution that happened in the banking industry repeat itself in the insurance industry very very soon. Who would have believed that First Bank with its "Metusellah age" would be contesting with the likes of Zenith, and Intercontinental over who is bigger? Who would have believed that Standard Trust Bank would have swallowed up the almighty UBA?

I believe its a matter of vision and strategies - thou shall not underate any of these Insurance folks cos the race has just begun

Hi Zuby'

Have you been able to get your Globere certificate and return money?
I want to confirm if they started given it before I go to the registrar.

Thanks

BigSeun,

Where did you get your misleading information from? No allotment has been done but investors who want their money back are being refunded.

just spoke with a lady at the firm where i bought the offer, she said they,ve received the certificates and returned monies in the form of warrant. All i have to do is send my sister with a letter of authority to pick it up.she confirmed that those that bought above either 100k or 200k units will get a 15% flat allocation. sounds ludicrous to me though but this is nigeria.
i don't need to go to the afribank registrars anymore.

L&G,
I think we should be careful at the reponses we make on this forum.
This is a serious forum and information should be well verified b/4 posting.

Zubychyle, what allocation are u talking about? - Universal or GlobeRe?
For your information, Globe Re allotment has not been done. The same issuing house- Afribank Capital is handling both, so please confirm what you have heard against what issue.
I have it on good authority that Globe Re allotment has not been done. The allotment i suspect you are refring to is Universal with a 15% poor allotment.
Please confirm from your broker-lady what they are refering to and don't panic the house.

Olobade, please confrm your story too, is there now and exit window for subscribers wishing to exit.
I'm sure the house will love to know.

Many thanks all.

I think there was a mix up.
The confirmed inform info:
Universal insurance
Allotment is done. Certificate and Return money ready at Afribank registrar or with stockbroker.

GlobeRE Insurance
No allotment yet. It was over subscribed. 13billion was realized. They are in process of Merging with NigeriaRE which should be concluded on or before 31st Mar as they've been given ultimatum by the regulating body.
Allotment, Certificate issuance or return money will be ready before end of second quarter ceteris paribus
