the ghana SE is very illiquid worse than the NSE. The New star heart of Africa mutual fund which had its exposure to ghana (mainly) and malawi had to go into liquidation this year because of illquidity. They were bought over by duet (Ayo salami) for HNWI now (1 million pounds minimum). i lost a lot of money (70%) because i subscribed to it through the Royal skandia mirror fund. At the peak of the bull market the Ghana SE total market capitilization was 10billion USD as against nigeria 120. so "Caveat emptor"

We can't stress the importance of diversification enough. It's suicidal to put all your eggs in one stock, mutual fund and asset class (I am guilty of this)

This is a letter from a woman who was robbed blind of all her assets by Madoff. Very touching.

If this case was in Naija, this will be the process:
  1. Does the applicant have "locus standi" to sue? (3 months)
  2. If unsucessful, appeal up to Supreme court (3 months)
  3. Object to sitting judge (3 months)
  4. If unsucessful, appeal to Supreme court (6 months)
  5. Object very aspects of the case (3 years)
  6. Appeal on every single aspect not successful with (6 years)
  7. While doing, you keep hoping a new person or pally Jugde gets in.
  8. Settle privately or plead guilty with arrange ridiculous sentence/fine. Chikena!!!
  9. Thereafter, keep quiet and DON'T TALK TOO MUCH
  10. Examples Umanah Umanah, IG, etc
