Default Investment clubs in campuses;is it a possibility?

Hello
i have been following your views on starting investment clubs. I will say that a lot of people have this kind of dream which was also what prompted me to search online. Ideas are given merit whenever you put it in motion and not just talking endlessly on it.
On campuses, believe me, thereare a lot of students wishing to pool money together to invest but they dont know who to bell the cat. Is it a hard thing to start clubs on our campuses?

no it is nopt that hard. The major task that has to be overcome is TRUST. if this ingredient is absect, ther will be no cohesion among members. IT also depends on the demography of people in your school, but it ios a very good idea.

There are many people that want to manage and invest their funds but do not know how. It takes proper planning and discipline

Default sure

hi everyone,
i'm a student of O.A.U. I sincerely think investment clubs can sure be started on campuses cos i'm working towards starting up one very soon and have had to meet with a lot of people that are really interested, just working out the logistics has been the delay for now,but people's responses has been encouraging. So if you want to start one you sure can and if you want to join ours, you're also welcome.Akano

Hi, I saw ur post. The same basics apply in incorporating an Investment Club.

First, u have to go to any office of the Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC) near you to obtain an Application form.
This wiil enable a search to b conducted by the CAC to ensure the uniqueness of the name u have picked,so that u can chose another name if some other person(s) have chosen that name.

Then u will be required to prepare and submit a Memorandum of Association (constitution) that will guide the club's operation as well as names of persons to act as Board of Trustees.
Once u are registered, u can then open a current account with any of the banks, specifying the signataries to the account.

You can start buying at this point.
I wish u goodluck.
