Thanks, this is just what I need. In the other IBTC ethical fund link which you gave me, I have realised that anytime i put in my log in details, it comes up with some very "Funny" results. Have you noticed this also?

@amoslord,
Discovery fund's year is actually December. See results for this year.

Dec 2007 - Dec 2006
Total investment Income: 1,147,544,362 - 617,244,751
Operating expenses: (536,491,559) - (158,292,038)
Profit before tax: 611,052,803 - 458,952,713
Taxation: (8,321,149) - (5,343,194)
profit after tax: 602,731,654 - 453,609,519

Dividend: N8.50k per unit

These discovery guys are not serious. What did they do that increased their operating expenses by over 340%. What kind of rubbish is this? I think I will just try and make out time to attend that AGM on the 24th of July. If I am not convinced with their reasons, I will liquidate my holdings with this fund.
I mean they had almost the same value in the above indices with ARM Ethical fund in 2006, but now the difference in value is more than 100%. I know the asset allocation is not same but that should not automatically equate to a 100% variance in 1 year?

You are right something must be wrong. I hope it is not this 30% of income above 10% that is eating away at the gains.

47% of the income in 2007 was used up as expense while this was 26% in 2006. What can cause such a jump?

Greetings,everyone!I am new to this forum and investing in general.Found this forum by accident whilst searching for Nigeria stock market information.

I paid for some units of the IBTC equity fund in febuary this year through one of their branches in Ikeja.I just got the duplicate purchase statement from them in form of a letter today.The amount paid and units assigned and purchase bid price all stated.

My question to people in the know,Is this the certificate?And is this the only document i need in order to redeem when i wish to or should I expect more documents from them.I am still holding on to the cheque deposit slip and pink document they gave me the day I paid.

You will be sent a certificate by post. However, this will take time (like 3-4 months or even less)
