Deap capital's price has been placed on technical suspension today at 8.70 Naira to enable it embark on a public offer at 7.50 Naira.

So, how do you people evaluate this?

Exclamation

I dont believe the current price is sustainable. they just came with a PP and now when the price is driven up cos of scarcity of the shales and the fact that opeople dont have their certificate to trade their shares they are now coming out with a PO.
I noticed that nigeria capital market followers are not analysisng this offers very well. I know without seeing the prospectus that the price will be highy over priced. that 8.70k is an artificial price becos there is no liquidity in its outstanding shares people havent gotten certififcates from the PP. So they are just been smart. there are other offers that are better like chiken republic

How did you arrive at the conclusion that chicken republic is a better offer please?

They did an offer last year March for N2. What magic have they done to return that much. Also they have not completely delivered on the last offer before jumping on this new one. I hope all is well. Look forward to their new prospectus so that I can compare it with last year.

Unhappy

While I agree that DEAP needs to put facts ( or more facts ?) on the ground to justify the current maket valuation
I do not share the opinion that DEAP is "hoarding" certificates.
If anything I have seen them keep their words . While Many of the Big names were hoarding certificates last year DEAP promptly sent their certificates. this was before SEC/NSE started waking up from their slumber.
I had my certificate not long after the offer closed. Verification also does not appear to be a problem. I believe it is noteworthy that First Registrars
was chosen. I suspect that more than anything else they benefitted from the usual sentiment that follows a new listing with relatively few shares ( 1B) and the bonus share.

As a company I believe they may be small but seem to be doing a few things right. They are diversified in strategic areas. I perceieve also some recognition of the importance of respect for corporate governance. Many of the companies in the non bank finanical sector now trying to come to the market in my opinion are probably doing or trying to do what DEAP did 2 or 3 yrs ago - Diversify. I would rather have DEAP @ 7.50 than say BGL @ N20.
As I cannot see any difference in performance or business strategy
For me DEAP is in the market and will be subject to statutory regulations in whatever they are doing. Whether they offer the best value for N7.50 sincerely I cannot say only time will tell. It is a RISK

Default DEAP Capital first quarter result

People may have their opinions on DEAP cap but I just noticed 1Q results is out and it is fantastic. PAT appreciated 1000% from 13.3 million to 133million.

Even with a 1 for 2 split which was done at last FYE, the earnings look likely to outpace it.

Let's look forward to the Prospectus for the forth coming offer.

This result is great but I am not moved in any way. I have been searching to see the real bussiness they are doing to generate this result. I may be wrong buy most of their bussiness apart from capital market is still at planning stage. Anyway I will prefer to invest in a bank where I have been able to analyst the Assets and bussiness than this Coy. Good luck to you guys.
