Default ARM discovery fund

Discovery fund website now has the information for pple wanting to buy their mutual fund units from outside the country now.

Discovery GTB Locations

It will be very nice to have the other companies too open up to get more investments from Nija abroad.

Things are getting better, but there is room for improvement.

Hi here Monna, do you accept Nigerian nationals who dont presently reside in Nigeria to get funds? The minimum amount of investment (N50,000) could be paid with naira locally through relatives on my behalf if possible. Kindly let me know...

@bjluv,

I will suggest you get a copy of the form (that you can get online on this thread), fill it, then scan it and send a soft copy to your relatives. they should print it and with the money go to any Zenith bank branch to pay it in.
Unless Monna has a better suggestion

Default getting funds

It's okay to get funds.
Like Apache instructed, you can get the form online, fill and send a soft copy to your relatives, so they could make the payments and submit form at any of the receiving agents.

Default AGF price per unit

Pls can anyone explain this AG fund. The IPO was at 20N, but the price per unit to buy additional units is 370N. Or did I get the IPO price/unit of the fund wrong?

The AGF has been in existence but was privately managed and currently controls a value price of N370. however, since they are going to make it public, they are readjusting the price to N20. what this will mean for previous holders is that they will have more units for a lesser price but no value will be lost. It similar to a reconstruction.
In other words, when they relist the fund as a public mutual fund, it will be @ N20. hope this helps

Default Transfer payment for AGF

Guys please I need help figuring out the best way to pay for this fund as a first time investor in the fund since I don't live in Naija. I got in touch with ARM and a personnel there said I could download the Application form, fill/sign it and send to them by email. Then he attached a PDF direction of how to transfer money into the funds CITIBANK account here in US crediting it to GTB for onward credit to ARM account. The ARM rep was very helpful with this info. I just want to run it by more experienced guys here to be sure that is the best option for me. I can still send the form to a relative in Naija but why bother them if I can do everything on my own. Any experienced info on this will be highly valued and appreciated.

Don't have any experience with this but i will personally suggest you give this method a try with some little money (money you can afford to lose)and see if it works fine with you. If you are comfortable with it, you can then continue big time. If not, you have the 2nd option
