Hi guys,
Got this from Proshare. Meanwhile, i have received the soft copy of my investment receipt and have also gotten my investment number and online pin to be able to monitor the stocks onl,ine. Although right now, you won't be able to check it online until it is listed.
If you have not gotten yours, send an email to discoveryfund@arm.com.ng or Kayode Odetola [Kayode.Odetola@arm.com.ng]

Exchange approves listing of ARM Growth FundPosted Wednesday, March 19, 2008

The Nigerian Stock Exchange's (NSE) quotations committee has approved the application of the managers of ARM Growth Fund on its daily official list.

With the development, the new fund joins the ARM Discovery Fund already quoted on the NSE, which is the flagship mutual fund managed by Asset & Resource Management Company Limited (ARM), quoted on the Exchange in the Memorandum quotations sector in 2002.

Consequently, the ARM Aggressive Growth Fund would soon be listed on the trading floors of the NSE to enable investors monitor its performance on daily basis, and probably enjoy capital appreciation.

Besides, the price of the fund would be carried in the stocks page of major dailies.

The ARM Aggressive Growth Fund is an open-ended investment vehicle designed for sophisticated investors seeking high growth in a properly diversified portfolio of equity investments. Its objectives are to achieve optimum returns on investors' funds with little incremental risk.

It would be recalled that 50 million units of the ARM Aggressive Growth Fund were offered to the public for subscription through an IPO from Monday, October 29, 2007 to Wednesday, December 5, 2007. - Guardian

Many thanks for bringing this to the fore. I'd made several calls to their customer service desk, in the past week, only to be told to expect a response via e-mail. I am yet to receive the mail. I only wanted to know if i got my full allotment, and when the e-receipts would be mailed, and if one could go pick up the certs from their office.

Will do them a mail, and see what happens. Thanks

I have waited four months now, and its still the same story. I've made several calls, and done some e-mails. The response has always been "still being processed", and some excuse about a server being down. Maybe they're being sorted in batches. Apache is evidently reaping the fruits of a relationship built up over time!

I sent money by wire too. I have received the investment receipt. THere are three other people around me who invested, and all got their receipts already. I have been logging to my account page online very easily too. Both my Discovery and Aggressive growth investment status reports are accessible online. AGF became accessible about one week or so ago for me. I have not tired other fund, but I liked the ARM system.

U can try Mona, who has posted before on this site and that I know also works at the PH office of ARM discovery fundmatthew.ameh@armdiscoveryfund.com and phone 08064146739)

Good luck

Default Now you can track your AGF fund

See attached newsletter from ARM.

@lumidii,
just send a mail to Kayode, i am sure he will sort out everything. Unfortunately, i don't have his GSM number if not, i wpould have given it to you. Regarding allotment, it's an open ended fund so there is nothing like returned money. In otherwords, you will get full allotment.
Infact, if you buy now, you will be getting it at a discount compared to those that bought the IPO bcos the price is currently @ =N=19.46 (bid price). Thjis is bcos they have deduct the monies for arranging the offer etc which brings down the valuation. This will begin to go up when the value of the shares they bought with the money begin to appreciate.

@Apache:

Considering the advertized "aggressive" growth rate for ARM's AGF, is it not worrying that since the PO till now, the unit price has been literally flat (circa NGN20)? I am considering investing in the AGF but this has been a sticky point. Kindly share your opinion.

Kip on rockin!

The price will generally swing in the direction of the NSE ASI since large % of the monies will be invested in stocks. The advertised growth rate was for a year and if you notice was also in line with the NSE ASI growth. So the question i will ask you is "what % do you think the market can grow this year". If you can estimate this, then you will have an idea of the growth % that this fund can deliver this year.
The market is in a bearish trend so it will reflect on the price movement for now.
But the most important point is that, you have to know why you are investing in the fund and mutual funds generally. Remember that it's a long term investment and not for short capital gains.
In my own opinion, I would advise you go for it as long as it meets your investment objectives.
I personally have bought into the fund and have a direct debit mandate from my bank for a certain amount to be channeled into the fund every month.
