Best wat to send money to Fund Manager

I am interested in investing in Nigerian Mutual Funds. The challeng I have is I am based in the US and not too sure of the SAFEST way to send money to the fund Managers.

Most of them have the following options

Pay money into a US bank account (the US bank then forwards it on to the Fund)
wire transfer directly into their account.
Pay by cheque (It will take me sometime to set up a bank account)

Can someone please advise on best way to proceed. I want to make a start asap. I have missed out for too long.

I recently bought some units of the discovery fund by transferring the money through a US bank (I am in Canada). Within 4-5days discovery acknowledged receipt of the wire transfer. I got my investment receipt by e-mail this week but the unit value was based on the price the day I wired the money. I think the discovery system is pretty neat. The company also tries to reply e-mails quite reasonably fast. I am not sure if this applies to other company though. So, u have to wait for other pple to share their experience with other fund managers.
