Forum rules

1. Our Community Attitude - StockMarketNigeria.com is a respectable investment community. Always display a positive and friendly attitude. Be respectful of others' opinions. Keep debates respectful.
2. Posting Rules -Please DO NOT Make Inappropriate or Offensive Posts. These include posting threats, harrassment, swearing, slander or deliberate insults/name-calling. Do not post pornographic material or any material promoting drug abuse, gambling or link to sites containing such content. Please DO NOT post the same topic in multiple forums. Multiple posts are unnecessary and will be deleted.
3. Private Message and Email Abuse - Please DO NOT use StockMarketNigeria as a basis for spamming or scamming our members. We take PM/email abuse very seriously, and it will result in the immediate removal of your membership and ban of your IP address, without warning
4. On SPAM and Advertisements- Please ensure your post is for the benefit of this investment community. Do NOT use the StockMarketNigeria.com for spam. This includes forum posts, private messages, or emails to other StockMarketNigeria.com members. DO NOT post affiliate links in this forum. Posts that are advertisements are NOT allowed. E-gold advertisements are not allowed anywhere on this forum. Our moderators and administrators reserve the right to edit or delete any posts they consider to be 'spam'. Members found spamming the forum will have their posts deleted and may also have their accounts closed. We have a zero-tolerance for spam.
5. Signature Restrictions -You may link to your site, but no illegal, pornographic, adult or objectionable links are allowed. Do not add more than 2 links to your signature.
6. Violation of this rules - Please report any member whom you feel to be in violation of these rules to a moderator or Site Admin immediately. When a forum member breaks these forum rules, the following process will usually be followed in dealing with the case -
   1st infraction - A polite Private Message from a Moderator pointing out the Forum Rules, in addition to the editing or deletion of the post
   2nd Infraction - Sterner warning, plus deletion of post
   3rd Infraction - Moderators will discuss and possibly delete the user from the StockMarketNigeria.com forum
   Depending on the situation, Moderators may bypass any or all of these steps and take whatever action is deemed appropriate.
7. Your privacy - Be careful about putting your email address or phone number on posts. This is to avoid fraudulent characters contacting you. Also be wary of people who offer 'get-rich-quick' schemes or post spam. If you spot these or any other inappropriate post, please report it to the forum administrators using the report post button (triangle icon on the upper left of the post). It looks like this
8. Copying and pasting - It is against copyright rules to copy and paste content from other sites to this forum without permission from the copyright holder. We recommend you put a link to content on other sites you wish to refer to. We take copyright infringement very seriously. A forum user who posts copyrighted content on this forum will have it deleted and will be given an infraction. Users who repeatedly do this may be banned from this forum.
9. SMN Blogs - When a user makes up to ten posts on StockMarketNigeria.com fourms, they are allowed to have their own blogs on the site. SMN Blogs are for intended soley for investment, financial and business related content. 10. Political, Ethnic & Religious discussions Political discussions are allowed ONLY to the extent that they relate to the investment or economic topic being discussed. Otherwise, political discussions are not allowed. Ethnic, tribalistic and religious discussions are not allowed on this website. If it is believed that the end result of a discussion will be political, tribalistic/ethnocentric or religious, the post may be removed. Likewise, strong political and religious sentiments should be kept out of profiles, signatures, sand other content.
