Default Governor's consent

Can anyone tell me the process involved in getting The Governor of lagos State consent for a land in Ajah village, lekki.
The land had a certificate of occupancy obtained by the former owner ie is the person i bought it from.

i dont understand.
you bought a land that has c of o, i think you just need transfer of ownership, u dont need goverment/governor consent for that.
this is what i think, you still need to get further info from those that have done such transaction before

You need a governors consent for any land transaction in Lagos state - CofO or not. So contact the realtor that was advised or visit Alausa.

oh ok, dont know thanks.
but look at it this WAY, the original owner that sold the land to you must have gotten the c of o from the goverment, hmmmmm?

what you need the goverment for this time is for the transfer of ownership not another c of o, and as u mentioned you might actually or will need goverment consent actually.

thanks for the clarification.

i never own one before except the one way my papa buy for me!!!!!!!!

waaan5 is correct. And depending on what's involved, one may need to obtain a tax clearance, or, the so-called eTCC (electronic tax clearance certificate); this may not apply to this case, but consulting a professional may be of good help.

It's also a fact of progress that the Lagos State governemnt has done an excellent job of documenting many of the matters of state involving the public. For example, a clear answer to the question of this thread could be found at this location: Welcome to Lagos State Government - Land Bureau - Land Registry
.
