Diaspora Village in Pyakasa, Abuja.

A total of 300 Nigerians in Diaspora, have been allocated land at a site for the proposed Abuja Diaspora Village, in Nigeria's capital city, according to Dr Ola Kassim, chairman of Nigerians in the Diaspora Organisation (NIDO Americas).
"The certificates of occupancy for each of the land parcel are ready and have been distributed to some of the eligible applicants. The idea for the Diaspora Village was discussed at the first Nigerians in Diaspora Conference in Toronto, Canada in January, last year.
I happen to be one of the people that got this Land. Price - N2000/SQUARE METER. where the hell is Pyakasa in Abuja. I am planning to pull money from my stock profits, whats ur intake, good or bad investment.

@Uzy1970,Gloria dey correct oo, make una come back come see the land and vet the documents sef, this place na Naija o, make one person no dey somewhere sell una land wey no exist, for me, I never hear of Pyakasa, and na here dem born me. No pay yet, just do your research and shine ya eyes!

i heard somebody paid for 1,500sqm of land in banana island,on coming home to start building ,only to find out that the potion he paid for is coverd with water.

I would strongly advice you to exercise caution You must do your due diligence before giving your money away! If you are not based in the country then ask people that you know in Nigeria to make inquiries on your behalf.

Abuja has government offices you can phone to make your inquires. Such news like this would have been all over the news if such a scheme exists!

It's most unlikely that this exists officially and yet it isn't highly publicized!

Make your inquiries and do not part with your money until you are a 110% certain, even then still ask and then ask again!

I am not questioning if the allocation is real or not, the Right of Occupancy I got is from Federal Capital Territory, Abuja through Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria here in Washington D.C. Diaspora Village Abuja, is a well known project here in the states, if you are a member of NIDO. My question is on the investment part of the deal, spending money building a house in Pyakasa, Abuja. Where is this pyakasa, can the house be rented fast. I have a lot Money in zenith Bank, bought @ N10.70 with 500+% profit, don't want to waste it in a house project. To the guru(S) in the site, is it a good investment.

This being so, I would suggest for future reference that you start a thread in the appropriate section! This thread should be in the real estate section to which it will be moved as soon as possible.

No offence intended, but I know of some people who actually travelled for a meeting in Nigeria with 'Soludo' in the CBN, and guess what, the entire set up, meeting . everything (and they actually took place) was all 419. All you are being advised by people is to look carefully b4 u leap, and look again even after leaping. This is not meant to discredit NIDO but, unfortunately, every good and genuine scheme will always rear fakes amongst it. All the best.

Hello All,

I have heard about this scheme. I alse read something about it in the papers the last time I was in Nigeria. Although I believe it is legit, that does not remove the need for due diligence on the part of the investor.

I think that this forum is a good place to start such research. So like the originator of this thread, I will also appreciate any information on this scheme.

Hi,just came across this thread n want to say that i know this area in FCT,it's along the airport road about 15-20mins drive into the city.Not the kinda place u can rent out easily as it still not that developed.good 4 keeps anyway!

I know there is a village called piyakasa along airport road as rightly described above but I cannot confirm if there is any Diaspora Village in there. You can Visit FCT website if you will be able to trace such thing.
