Ladies and gentlemen of SMN, it is with a deep sense of responsibility that I announce that the yield curve in Nigeria is on the path to correcting. The difference between long term bonds and short term bonds that used to be over 2% is now about 1.2%.

The implication is that confidence is growing and this may be due to inflow of "hot money". Whatever the case may be, we shall invest in equities before they come and we shall offload to them before they sell. Like I advised in my last blog, this is a good time to buy equities and you may no longer need to wait for up to two years to reap return.

Once again, it is time to return to equities.

Could this part of the explanation for the improved naira exchange rate. Inflow of hot money into nija equities. What to buy now. Fidelity and a few banks still low. What to buy now.

Full bid today can flip to full off tomorrow. I want to hear Oando has reached N40 and dividend is N4 for 2011 to be paid in August.

Thanks. But the inflation and high yeild bonds will mitigate the %age hotties flowing into equities?

NB: Those wo can should cash in on this one and reallocate; before the ultimate bust

Market making to begin next month – NSE

The CEO also announced that following the approval of the SEC share buy-back guidelines, companies were allowed to buy back up to 15 per cent of their shares.

“Companies are now allowed to buy back up to 15 per cent of their shares which must be retired. And to guard against manipulation, companies may not issue the same types of securities for a period of one year,” he said

Why is UBA not buying back their shares since thy always told us that it was underpriced..

If this will breed manipulation of prices again, no wahala. We'll see the eventual winner.
