My Broses, I do agree with una positive criticisms, but you can believe me Adeniyi, Abati, Tunji Braithwathe, et al were just media men writing. Sanusi, no matter the motive, is a rare breed.

Do you know he was a board member of Kudirat Iniative for Democracy? What about this fuel subsidy issue? Why do you think he was very prominent during the January 2012 fuel subsidy crisis defending government action? Is he the most senior government official? Just accept that the guy has earned himself, so far, a strong brand name the world over.

We need to see people more in good light than in bad light. Sanusi is in a position to be counted a billionaire, by Nigerian standards today, but has chosen to correct many societal ills and so we must give him that benefit of the doubt no matter how we may feel about his actions.

Your comments confirms my earlier post. Some years back, I would have said exactly the same things. I actually wrote an article some years back nominating one of the people you mentioned as my role model.

I have interacted closely with 3 of the people you mentioned in the last 15 years. Two of them were actually my persoanl mentors. I am still close to them.

I will repeat my advice. Take easy.

Guy cool down! Nigeria is a place where you don't vouch for anyone but yourself. I can tell you authoritatively that SLS is just as crooked as the rest of them, maybe not as bad as the rest but definitely not a straight arrow. My personal person is a director in a firm that fronts for SLS and with his influence they've gotten loans totaling about N1.6b, N1b from the agric fund via Skye bank and N600m from another government owned development bank. Inside the N1b another of my personal people chop N40m for leasing out their asset and some was used in acquiring farms around the country, including a 50% stake in Falana's farm. The rest about N600m was used in acquiring a hotel in ikeja, which is currently under remodeling. The other loan from the government bank is being used to setup a tomato paste canning plant.

All these businesses are indirectly owned by SLS, so the man ain't no saint but he definitely isn't as bad as the others.

Basically no vouch for anyone.

Oga Solo66, I think you should find out why Sanusi spent so much to defend the Naira and you may change your stance, just a little bit.
