also i bought skye(from fidelity sales) at N2.90 and felt it does not deseerve to be less than N5 that is why i am still holding it basically due to the EPS. i will try to read more on their details (to the best of my ability) and make a decision.

KOD said it before that fidelity bank is over capitalize. they raised excess fund from their last public offer before the melt down and they don't know how to use it

Thanks. Anyway, if that is the only reason, unless if you consider manipulation of result, they have been able to churn out an estimated EPS of 45k and last year dividend was 14k, i think an entry price of N1.60 is ok for me which will make the P/E to be 3.5 and last rears dividend will be 8% of the price. the 3/4 eps is an improvement of the 2/4 eps.

The average return on equity of the banks currently stand at 17.4%. Skye bank has an ROE of 15.4% and Fidelity has ROE of 10.9% (sub-inflation); this low return on equity may explain why their low PEs are justified.

I thought with market making, if one bids for a stock one should get it to buy, especially on a day the stock traded within one's bid price!

I still do not understand this market making thing. How ever let give it time. We will know if it is fake or real, if real we will accept it but if fake we will throw it into thrash can. There is nothing as good as NSE and SEC. Monitoring and supervising the operators and listed companies that will definitely restore confidence in the market rather than this make shift arrangement.

Very simple, Play by the rule and sanction where operator or listed company fall short of the law. The problem with NSE is they compromise standard for monetary gain. It is better to have few companies that play by the rule than have multitude of law breaking companies listed

Ladies and gentlemen (if there is any in the house), this is to inform you that the time has come to throw all you have into the equity market. Those that follow me may have noticed that I have been relatively silent on both SMN and Twitter for a few days now.

Things are happening. I will update my blog again today to express my thoughts.

Unfortunately some of us do not have money again. If i can get a return of over 50% in 12 months, i can decide to take a loan.
