"The stocks that are supposed to be gaining are those declaring dividend. How can we be encouraging companies to pay dividend? There are some companies that are not sure of paying dividend in the next two years and yet the directors earn their salaries."

The market will soon leave people with this kind of absurd thinking behind. I guess he will be happy if the company borrows money from banks at 25% and use it to pay him dividend. I am sure he will say Apple is a very bad company since they have cash balance that is more than the Nigerian budget, yet refused to pay dividends.

I don't have answer to the question. I think the guy should be more concerned about how the companies he has shares in are performing.

Interesting scenario for NASCON. The offer and bid seems fairly balanced. I don dey wait for that stock to come to sub 6.00 for a long time now but it has refused to get there. Just had to divert to Diamond and FBNH.
