I got the below definition from investopedia

growth stock
Stock of a company which is growing earnings and/or revenue faster than its industry or the overall market. Such companies usually pay little or no dividends, preferring to use the income instead to finance further expansion.

Gurus in the house, do we have such stock on the NSE? almost all NSE coys pay dividend.

@KOD just read your blog excellent view and spot on. I share very similar position. Was just reading about Seruma's funds, interestingly he's also heavy on Nigerian companies.

Poorly written article. Cement prices are up not down since the import tariffs were drastically increased early this year (or so). The dumping argument is not tenable, there is no evidence of predatory pricing by importers. When Dangcem and the other producers were increasing capacity, they made big claims about meeting local demand and exporting excess production. Why can't they feed the export market? Obviously, if they can't be price-competitive against imports (despite the high tariffs) then the export markets will be closed to them. Before increasing tariffs, govt needs to understand there has been cement production in Nigeria for over 50 years and for much of that period, the local industry survived and thrived despite imports. Now is not the time to protect ONE dominant player (in the cement industry) from competitive market forces.
