Buying and selling of recharge cards will likely turn out like 1% daily including Saturdays and Sundays, while the stock market is losing 0.75% daily.

There are five basic types of investments; stocks, bonds, real estate, private equity and alternative investments. The first four types are going down the drain except the bond sector that is trying to keep its head above water. Any other form of investment is alternative. You dont have to think long before you get idea - cassava plantation, fishery, snails, poultry (Barcelos PP says there is a need for more in Nigeria), etc. It could also be as complicated as derivatives...

Na wa o, see how NSE dey send professional investor back to the farm
True talk anyway, no matter the level of economic downturn, two alternate investments will not be badly affected, farming (food) and transportation. People go chop and then go move around.

KOD, forgot to mention Grasscutter and Rabbits. You know the ROE on those can scare even First Bank. They fall under Manufacturing not Agriculture, due to reproduction capacity.

$80 a Barell for Oil. Its time for a drop in Fuel and Diesel Prices, Which should lead to a drop in Food prices and Transportation costs. This is the Kind of Intervention that will Create more disposable income for the masses to buy stocks with.

If I understand billions post, he gets to keep 85% of the interest, while the bank keeps the remaining 15% if he terminayes the fixed deposit.
