I think this is a good place to ask my questions:

What is the minimum percentage of shares a company can list on the NSE?

What is the maximum percentage of shares can an individual/company own in a company?

the minimum percentage of the outstanding shares of a company that must be made available for free trading after listing is 25%.

i dont think a company can choose to list only a portion of its shares outstanding in Nigeria....the financial market is not that sophisticated yet

there's no maximum %age a person can hold of the stock of a company but you cant own a 100% of any stock and list on the NSE... you need at least 50 people to own stocks in a company to qualify for the status of a PLC. but once you cross the 5% ownership threshold in a listed company...you will come under the microscope of NSE, SEC and CBN

Since u can't own 100%, then should the maximum be 99.9% that can be owned?

Na wa o! Then the other 49 owners will own just 0.1% of the company...

I will really love to be under that type of microscope, especially if its NB that is the company.

I know there must be something wrong with the finances of the NSE when they can't run a lousy website. They say if you enter a house and see one cockroach there must be others lurking around. I just hope that poor small investors like myself are not made to lose money in the process.

Is this not the same NSE that borrowed almost N1b from CSCS? The same NSE that earmarked almost N1b to build a state-of-the-art website?

All stock exchanges are information driven, in nigeria however, reverse is the case. Apologies to stockbrokers here. Madam must go now for the market to move forward nothing personal. Why should investors pay to access information that should enable them make decisions ?

Yes state of the Art indeed. The of Go Slow and Break Down.... The market would never move forward with this woman at the helm.

Oga KOD. I thought you were factoring in the NSE succession struggles in your prediction that the market may not bottom until November/December.

No, I did not oh! I based my analysis on technical/fundamental factors of the economy and companies, not NSE troubles.
