I saw a sell order belonging to Oga waaaan for 18 million units for FBNH @ 15 naira and saw a lot of buy order for prices higher than 15 naira . Short answer is no, cant clarify much.

Crosschecked with the NSE website, attached is the screenshot. You're correct: the (Oga waaaan? & probably Oracle?) 18 million units should have been fulfilled. Unless the seller is able to hold out for a significant number of bids to fulfill the order and is confident of the demand in the market?? But there are at least a total of at least 8 million units that should fulfill the order.

Is this one of those stocks where there's something funky going on because "market makers" are involved?

I dont have access to a dealing terminal. One of the brokers in the house could hopefully shed some light on this one. It might b gone by tomorrow but I'll check after market reopens.

Oga Bato form or no form, the seller wants to get 15 * 18 million cash at the end of the day. Knowing our brokers, they can be sharpish at orders like that. Its kind of strange. Brokers here can put all their bids together here , give the seller his money and the rest na gulder money . no law broken . Correct me if i am wrong

Eeek! The bolded scares me. Looks like this business is also full of scams. Do you mean Nigerians have already developed loop holes in the "market making" thing? And brokers can actually sell one's shares at higher prices than one's offer, and pocket the margin?

@bivins1, ur views are totally wrong. Pls read up any typical automated trading system manual. Brokers play within the trading rules. Playing utside these rules will lead to sanctions from the market controller, who monitors activities of all trading terminals. All markets have the good, bad & urgly players; hence the playing rules.

Apparently, I'm not a broker...I just have the ears of one...

but Oga Baotoghile is correct 100%....that's the only plausible reason. The seller put in the order as "All or None"....if you're not willing to buy 15m units in one bloc at N15, the system will not touch the trade...

Maybe not...Orders have a default "End of Day" expiry so u won't see it there this morning unless the guy keys it in again...

People still dey drink? A large percentage of my friends stopped drinking, due to health reasons, age or they became more religious.

I still manage 25 to 30 bottles a year.
