some brokers allow you to send your mandate after the market has open, so if you like the mood of the market you can still join. some some may actually one want to see the mood of the market before placing their order

Oga Yemo captures outstanding orders at any particular time. What appears on his list does not include trades that have already been consummated. Now, the bid and offer status of a stock change per time as brokers keep reacting to what they see and decide what they want to trade...

I hope with these few points of mine, I have been able to convince you and not confuse you that....

I don't think anyone can tell you that pointedly. All I want is some more advanced analysis to support my rudimentary one. It would have been helpful if investment companies like Rencap can provide even some summaries to all investors, no matter how small, at a reasonable fee.

Since the increase in foreign participation trading on the NSE has got more frenetic and changes in seconds. If you had access to a brokers terminal you would see thousands of orders some of which may be fulfilled within minutes of being placed.

The bolded part of what horlads says above applies, in that what I am providing here is a snapshot of the orders in the market at any given time.

True dat. But you'd be surprised how many of these market gurus and newspapers that lift content from SMN.

BidOffer at market close 9 Jan 2013. Looks like new UBA and Nestle in serious demand. Market surge seems to have eased off slightly today as well.
