Really dissapointed by Oando Management. They cannot be counted on to channel the rewards from the business to the shareholders rather than to themselves.

I will only take any gain I can from the rights issue by trading it.

Based on opinion on SMN and any furthet insight from the masters I could still take some rights. Perhaps with their listing in Canada Management practices will change to reward shareholders better and this is the bottom Oando will ever get to. That perhaps they have learnt some lessons and change from their anti-shareholder ways.

who knows how they'll spend the money. I foresee many investor not taking their right. when OandO take theirs, they'll effectively increase their holding

I think taking loss is also an investment virtue. There's really no more reasons so stay invested in OANDO, remember whether convertible or not, they (wale and co) are currently earning interest on the N16B loan they gave OANDO. That's already a good return for them in the same year the shareholders value has fallen considerably without dividend. Don't forget what they earned earlier for the cancellation of the agreements with OAO!

Wanaj0 has been right all along. I remember there's a paragraph in intelligent investors that talked about companies called "Other Peoples Money", Oando seems to fit perfectly to that: constantly going to the share holder to bring more money without defending what they did with the last one. Is money really that cheap in Nigeria?

Only a subsidiary of oando is listed and OandO is a seperate shareholder

I really do not think they have learned anything. Every shareholder on the Nigerian bourse should do well to know these guys constituting the management of OandO as it is now, and learn to steer clear of any company they float on this exchange in future.
