What is the market share of NEM in the insurance industry? What are the growth potentials of the Nigerian insurance industry? What is the quality of the human resources available in the industry.

By the way I will be meeting with the MD Oando before the end of the week. And for the record, I will no longer discuss anything in-depth about Oando for the next few months neither will I touch the stock with a long pole.

I'd rather buy a business I understand. As for the hurtful feelings, I am not hurt by Oando because I made money from it but I am just tired of their complexities.

Analyzing Oando is indeed a full time job. OANDO smells like an ENRON and flash thoughts was already on my mind for some time now before you mentioned it GBAM. You will not touch it with a long pole is making me screech to a halt. I need to invest time to go and see learnings from ENRON and really look this OANDO carefully. I made good profits from OANDO years back. Did not participate in the previous RIGHTS. But my current holding from N20 is at a loss. Overall a marginal gain at current prices. Could still sell all my holdings to pick up the rights (or exit completely) if the price gets pumped up. Perhaps this OANDO is not a good long term prospect. Perhaps it is.

There has been a net sale from Institutional investors. Though this is distorted by the huge sell-off by JP Morgan. Discounting JP Morgan which seemed to have exited many Nigerian stocks there is a net foreign institutional investor purchase. With Stanlib and Investec funds leading in buying more.

This site can be used to see though belated what institutional investors are doing on Nigerian stocks. FCMB, UBA etc a buy,

On point there my Ogas, Oando is likely going to deliver that kind of profit on paper.

But should they deliver that and retain their present working capital changes as it is, then a script issue from reserves will be the best they can do. By the way their authorized shareholding is 10b units; post-issue 3.178b unissued units gives room for 2 for 5 bonus.

I used the last audited result. I will check the Q2 result. What are the components of the current intangible assets that made it to rise, when was the last time some of their tangible assets were re-valuated?
