The answer has always been obvious...we all know it and yet shy away from it. Imagine us living under the weight of a constitution to which we have no contribution. Even colonialism was not this bad. Lets come to a round table and decide how we wish to be governed as a people. A confederacy, a true federation or exist as separate entities? Its better to end up like Sudan than to end up as Somalia(just my take, no pun intended here).

Lets start educating those who see a SNC as a call to divide the country, especially the present crop of politicians benefiting from the present arrangement.

Since the local governments and states have already been divided along certain discordant lines, and our representatives and senators now chop(sorry, work) for themselves; lets have each ethnic nationality(at least we know the number of the various ethnic groups that make up Nigeria, just above 250?) or at the level of dialects(over 400?) adopt a trusted law practitioner and present their case/desires through him/her.

This should not be done on religious lines as most; and i mean most, ethnic groups have Muslims, Christians, Animist etc, making them up. For those who think the SNC must consider religious inclination just to complicate matters, it is also easy. Let each ethnic group adopt one of four:
1. Islam
2. Christian
3. Animist
If any group, by peaceful secret voting process as was done in Sudan, cannot clinch strictly 100% votes to adopt any of the above, then they must adopt
4. Mixed

Through-out the process, as each ethnic group presents its prayers, others consider and make adjustments until we have a final document. What I have given above was thought out on my feet, it can be developed through collective brain-storming. The Nigerian people can do this.

It can work! The present politicians want us to believe otherwise.

Hmmm .... A trusted lawyer .... I trust no one except we share the same last name and in any case how do you define an ethnic group? Is black axe an ethnic group? If not why not? The truth is those calling for a SNC have not thought of the practicality and until they do ..... Well the constitution guarantees freedom of speech so please talk away

Exactly! And the truth is that our problems are the lack of moral values in our society. The earlier people start to see the wrongness in cheating their neighbor the earlier we'll develop. Personally I see a silver lining in these Boko haram attacks but I'll keep it to myself for fear of being burnt alive.

A country that switched off a base station just to prevent a bomb attack in order for independece day activities to go on is LAZY! Now they have finished that, they went to sleep and these guys are now pounding them.

How do you expect the security units( and other govt agencies ) to function well when their brain had been conditioned just to steal, divert and misaapropriate funds. There is no other thing that goes on in their head. Just these things. So how do you expect them to think about the right thing to do.

Imagine nigerian police force saying they were overpowered by the mob that took the wanted Christmas day Boko Haram bomber away. If police can be overpowered, who else can hold them.

Look at the Kano state bombings. If these guys can bomb police stations, immigrations building and other places(all with armoury), is it our ''batcher'' that they will not bomb. All of them are clueless. All they just want is how to share the money. So long as the bombings don't affect them and their families, they don't care.

I pity those that are still investing in Nigeria. The blunt truth is this: Investors will not come. This guys can't protect your assets. How can you be calling investors to come and invest when their lives are not safe? This country should think for once!!!! Investors are not fools.

Do we need a prophet to tell us that after the bombing in Kano that there will be mass movement of non-northerners out of the north. It was reported on a Nigerian TV station that ''at least 200 people dead''. Check the words used there,''at least''!!!! That means they are still counting. Even in Syria that is at the brink of civil war has not reported such a single death toll. Even during the fall of Saddam Hussein(Iraq) and the consequent breakdown of law and order, there was never a time that 200 people died in a single attack. Just one attack!
