Can this be correct 1 in about 5 to 6 Nigerians. They must be referring to pissing the gutter or bush.

Regarding approval ratings, this is what Gallup said " Gallup’s surveys show residents’ perceptions of economic conditions are often related to approval ratings. In Europe, for example, people’s ratings are strongly related to economic conditions. But economics are not the whole story. In Africa, governance issues such as the honesty of elections and the judicial system seem to matter much more.

Despite the huge poverty and relative underdevelopment of Niger, its govt has the highest approval ratings in the world. There is no doubt that regarding sanctity of elections, freedom of speech etc, GEJ's govt has excelled and Nigerians give him due credit for this. However, it does not deflect from the fact that 94% of Nigerians think this govt is corrupt.

Ignore social media at your peril. It's not the % of people on social media that counts, it's the people they can reach and influence.

Discovered long time ago that the level of public discourse in Nigeria is shallow. It is follow follow mentality. No serious questions are asked. All is about sentiment. One BIG pastor DEfriended me on Facebook because I dare to tell him that refineries are not built in 6months! It is same reasoning that made Bola Ige to promise stable power supply in 6months. Same reason why legislators went to site location to verify work done on the EPC contract for NIPP of which close to 70% of the work is design and procurement of long lead items. Same reason why legislators don't know the difference between appropriation and actual spend or value of work done. SMH

Madam Peg, sometimes i dey wonder which part of Naija u come from. You seems to know a lot of grass root things of several places. I don conclude say u be waffi babe/woman. Shuooo, 'tetebe'. I no fit laff.

Anyway, no mind these 'any where belle face' so-called social media critics. They think elections are won on social media. When you tell them that, they will quickly tell you that it was social media that gave rise to the Arab spring. When those doing 'Ojota harmattan' saw just five solders with just a gun, their leaders go hide for under bed while the rest scattered.
