I was actually talking of the one advertised by National Identity Managment Commission NIMC (national ID card). I think the one on the vanguard link was stated by National Population commission NPC.

I remember one of the EU Ambassadors saying this same thing privately to staff of my former company and wondering how Nigeria can afford all this. He even added INEC and SIM Registration. Is someone in charge of this country?

IMO, America was founded on strong religious principles which explains the reason why God appears on a number of their national symbols but as the nation prospered, they began to put less premium on Baba G and what He brings to the table. I believe we are all aware that there's been serious debate on religious incursion into their lives. They've stopped praying in schools and they even want to remove the " In God we trust" from the back of their currency....all these came after they had attained dominance....

Truth be told, it's humane to seek a force greater than us when we are inadequate. Once we reach a level of adequacy, we discard that greater force. I was having a discussion with my colleagues this morning on how funny it is when someone is looking for job, he goes to church seeking intervention only for him to start complaining about too much church incursion into his time when he gets busy after the job comes on stream.....

No Oga Waves. Those "scientists" that said the chicken came first were wrong because they worked on an existing egg, which obviously came from a chicken, and so it is easy to work backwards. They were obviously sponsored by religious creationists. One has to work with the fact that creatures evolve by mutations, which happen in reproductive cells - eggs. So eggs must have come first!
