Cool try sectrust

Sectrust is pretty good, but they are quite expensive. I think you need about N100K to open an account with them (the last time I checked). I think their website is http://www.sectrust.com

By the way, that doesnt mean that you pay sectrust N100K to start. Its just that your first share deal with them should be about N100K (I think).

You can look up their contact address on their website.

Thanks Tdmadeeasy.

What about Afrinvest. - http://www.afrinvestwa.com/.

Does anyone know about them?

It seems afrinvest has merged with sectrust

"Afrinvest West Africa Limited came about due to the desire to further solidify the relationship that already existed informally between SecTrust and Afrinvest UK and the need to comprehensively respond to the changing realities of the Nigerian financial services environment. This resulted in Afrinvest International, a Mauritian affiliate of Afrinvest UK making a substantial equity investment in SecTrust and it was subsequently agreed that SecTrust change its name to Afrinvest West Africa Limited."

Default Stock Broking firms

IBTC is still one of the most respected firms dealing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. You get excellent service from seasoned financial experts. The minimum amount to open a stock account with IBTC is about N5M which they might reduce to N2M according to one of their advisors. I think Zenith Bank also has a stock broking arm and based on their track record in the banking sector, I believe you should get good service from them. Vetiva is also sound as well as FutureView Securities.

The question is, do you really want to invest in Nigerian stocks? Begin with a knowledge of the stocks before you seek the stockbrokers. The alternative is to contact IBTC and request to invest in the IBTC Equity Fund.

People should be able to make recommendations based on their dealings with such firms.... A lot of reasons would be given based one's need in the makt.. i have a couple of stockbrokers and they all serve their various purposes... Some are quite slow in response to my instructions but are very deligent. One other one is fast but they do not have time for small players as such...While another is good in availing me margin finance but then their interest rate is not too encouraging...While the last one has a very good website though they are quite small...

However based on my need at anytime i choose the one to use..
