This may have already been mentioned - I've not gobe through all of the discussion - so someone let one know if the situation has changed:

what about the inability to trade in a stock once purchased? Without trading, the challenge isn't anything close to a test of an investor's aptitude of what's happening in the market other than a buy-and-hold philosophy (which may be good in some, but not all cases).

Stockbear raised similar concerns. I guess you could say the lack of software which simulates real time trades is the biggest limitation of the challenge. However, like most games, once you've set your rules and as long as everyone is playing on a level playing field, the result should still be useable.

I think we can inject a bit of fun in the game by starting a new thread in the forum which monitors/analyzes the performance and allows contestants to discuss any moves they might make given certain market conditions - at least in theory. Unless of course EIC knows a way to accomodate your request, adding to the administration overhead.

It's not ideal but some of us could still learn a lot from the game even in its rudimentary form. As someone once eloquently put it on this forum, "with these few points of mine," I hope I have convinced you to please reconsider.
