Default Dangote Dividends

Hi All,

I'm outside the shores of Nigeria and my questions are similar to Catherine's. I bought the Dangote Sugars IPO and I recently learnt that theyu have issued about 2 to 3 dividends already. I inquired from my broker and he says that he hasn't got my dividends yet. What do I do since there is a deadline within which you should cash the dividend?

Secondly, my broker has given me my CSCS number, does it mean that I now have an account with CSCS and I can now register online without having to pay any fees? I really want to monitor my investments closely.

Who knows how I can contact the registrar's office to inquire about my dividends??

Is there a way having my dividends automatically paid into my bank account or cscs account??

Thanks.

Default Dangote Dividends

Compengr: Dangote has only issued 1 dividend to date. I also bought into the IPO.

You can monitor your stocks by phoning the CSCS 24hr line, since you have a number otherwise you can equally get the info on your broker's website, if they have such a facility. You don't have to pay for this service.

You can also phone up Dangote registrars, to confirm the position of things. I don't have details, but someone else might be able to provide this for you. I currently have limited internet access which restricts what I can do for now.

@Compengr. Dangote issued 2 dividends post IPO. One for the last year
(N1.15k) and the other for the recently concluded quarter (40k). Regarding CSCS, did you register online first at their website? If you need web access, you'd need to register on their website. However, you did that already, just visit the website and login with the username and ID that you used to procure the CSCS number.

I am not sure that the dividends warrant for the 40k has been posted. I am in Nigeria now and I have not seen one.

But I will pop in to zenith registrars tomorrow to confirm if time and traffic permits and let you know.

As for the details of registering with CSCS, I have posted the full details and account to pay the 2500 naira on another thread.

Thanks Stockbear

1. Who knows what number is CSCS 24hr line?
2. My certificate needs to be de-materialized for it to appear on my broker's website. I'm in the process of having that done.
3. Can anyone give me the numbers to Dangote sugar registrars
4. What information I have to tender in order to find out about my dividends?
5. Do the certificates issued have unique numbers? I want to ask for mine.

5. When, in particular, was the dividends issued and how long do I have to cash it?

I've looked at the CSCS website and seen the instructions for subscription

Thanks.

Default CSCS Account Number

Hi All,

Please I really need advice on this issue:

I'm outside the shores of Nigeria and I'm trying to get an online account with CSCS. I applied online (though I'm not sure of the CSCS number for reasons stated below) and a friend of mine has paid =N=2,500 into their GTBank account for me, BUT I'VE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM AND I'VE CALLED SEVERALLY BUT AFTER THE INITIAL AUTOMATED VOICE, NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. THE CSCS NUMBER MY BROKER GAVE ME SEEMS TO BE DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE CSCS ISSUES (theirs have some alphabets combined with numbers, but the one my broker sent me has only numbers.) CAN ANYONE PLEASE CLARIFY??

I sent a mail to my broker on this and this's what he said:

"I study people and learn how to go along with them. You are a very sceptical person the best way to handle you is to guide you along that same mindset. I will only object to your choice if it will lead to financial disaster.

.....CSCS special account is best suited for somebody resident in Nigeria. I will not be in a position to follow-up with your payments and ensure that you are activated to enable you use the facility. This also applies if there is any issue arising from its usage."

What does he mean by ".....CSCS special account is best suited for somebody resident in Nigeria."

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

As far as I am aware if you open a special account with CSCS then, you will still get your brokers to buy for you but it will be consolidated under the one account and sell instructions then goes to CSCS.

http://www.cscsnigerialtd.com/module...howpage&pid=17

In effect what the Broker is saying is that he will not have the ablity to sell on your behalf any longer.

As for the registration with CSCS, Do you have a scanned copy of the teller with which the 2,500 was paid?, You can send this with your details to CSCS-@ cscs@cscsnigeria.com.

There is actually a further process after paying the money. The person needs to go to the CSCS office itself as there is another form to fill and this is what is submitted along with the teller. But try sending a scanned copy as a first step.
