Dragon123, it is not all about pain, it is bussiness. They asked for 2B for example, People contributed 12B. Is it not better to return the surplus than keeping them when you do not have plans for them? I think they are fair and it is not their fault. It is just that I do not have a company to list in the floor now and go for PO or even start with PP

I am looking at the break down and thinking to myself that I made the worst decision by participating in NAHCO IPO and infact any IPOs for that matter.
Any mention of when people will start getting their returned money pls? This is utterly frustrating for me to say the least and I'm sure it would be the same feeling across the board....

It seems as if the magical # to get max units is 1,000 shares

But will someone please explain why someone that applied for 1,000 units should get his 1,000 units and me that applied for 5,000 units will get just 750 shares?

No be say i get the experience but i believe what this means is that everybody gets 1000 units basic then for any amount above that you apply for you get the percentage for that. e.g you get your 1st 1000, then if you applied for anything more than for your next 1000 you get 30%, if you still have more for your next 1000 you get 21 % and so on.
So if you applied for 1000 you get one 1000, if 2000 you get 1300 , if you applied for 3000 you get 1510 etc

I am sorry but you are wrong. To explain further from the Guardian Newspaper table of allotment, there are 8341 applicants in the 4001-5000 units group. They all applied for a total of 41,355,500 units and were alloted 6,203,325 units. This gives 6,203,325/8341 = 744 units per person. There is no other explanation than this.

Dragon if I may help u, these 8341 people in the bracket of (4001-5000) got 15% of the total units they applied for as a group and then they all shared it equally , each person getting 744 units (scarcity equalizes man). So eventually no difference between the 4001 and the 5000 persons. Is it not ironic that those that applied for more got less? Na waa o.1000 got 1000 units and 5000 is getting 744! Chei! Nigeria we hail thee!

Well I wouln't say i'm pleased wt the trend in the market currently. But then it shows thatthe market still needs to be deepen more, wt esoteric investment options. Let more viable firms come to the market so that invetsors wd have outlets 4 this funds bedeviling the market.
Plus, this banks wt huge funds and throw out all forms of loans are over tempting investors.

Angry I hereby quit Public Offers

Today my broker received my returned NAHCO check and they returned N495,000 out of N525,000 worth that I applied for. Guys this is it! Public offers are not worth it. I shalt henceforth not be found near any public offer, no not even with a very long pole to touch it. That was a complete waste of my time.

L&G, can any of us tell us if he/she has recieved the returned money through Oceanic Bank. I also bought through them. I called the Registrars and they said the money has been sent to Oceanic. I was at the Oceanic branch were i bought NAHCO and they said they had not recieved anything from their head office.

I also called their head office only to be told that the branch has not done what they were supposed to do. What is happening to Oceanic.

All this crabs and my money is hanging somewhere. I will appreciate any form of assistance i can get on this.
