Insurance Stock

For some time now I have been avoiding insurance stocks because of the negative perception I have about the bussiness and their operations of the companies in Nigeria. But with the recent planned and on going consolidation of the sector. I wish to try investing in them. Please does anybody have any information on which insurance company is worth investing in? Thanks for your anticpated response.

Unic, Crusader and Wapic are highly recommended at their current prices. They've got good fundamentals, good investments and bright prospects.

Hello Prof.,
I think Mishydear has recommended the very best of Insurance stock for you. Infact, I am a strong believer in WAPIC and Crusader stocks for their most likely capital appreciation (a rare thing about Insurance stocks though).
However, if you admire bonus issues more importantly, I would advise you also take a prudent look into AIICO and NigerInsurance stocks.

Am very happy for your advise on these insurance stocks. Am already looking into each of the mentioned stocks for due diligence before investing into them. A friend of mine told me about Industrial and General Insurance IGI, that they will soon come to capital market to list their stock. Is it a good stock? Does anybody have any useful information on the company? Once more thanks for your advice, am grateful!
