If you applied directly via your address, then you need do that by yourself to fix the mess. Good luck!

Thanks man.. I did not buy it thru my broker. but thru USD surulere office.. So, do i need to take the certificate and receipt of purchase to First Registrar?

I totally agree with you, because Buffett is my role model as far as investment is concerned. According to him, if you are buying a company's stock, just assume you are buying the whole company(irrespective of the quantity) and understudy it well, but if you do not understand its area of business well, don't buy. And don't allow yourself to be caught by the frenzy of bandwagon effects. And based on that premise I can't buy the pp.

.

Ok, in that case, take the receipt and certificate to the first registrar. However, make sure that the name on the receipt has your correct name, in which case the mistake came from the Registrars. If the mispelled name came From UDS, then make sure you have ID (Passport maybe)& the receipt to identify yourself with the registrars office.

I would advise maybe you check first with UDS office before you head to the Registrar, if it is more hassle then head to the Registrar.

Exchange lists Union Diagnostic's N1.9b shares
By Helen Oji

THE number of companies in the equity sector of the Nigerian Stock Exchange yesterday, recorded an increase, following the listing of N1.9 billion ordinary shares at N3.00 per share in the name of Union Diagnostic and Chemical Services Plc.

Addressing stockbrokers on the floor of the Exchange, the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Olusola Akinniyi, explained that the company which was established as Tejuosho Scan Centre in 1993 to offer purely ultrasound imaging services was incorporated as Tejusho Diagnostic and Chemical Services Limited in 1999.

With the conclusion of a successful initial public offering in 2007, the company was later changed to Union Diagnostic and Chemical Services.

According to the managing director, the company offer services ranging from Ultrasound Imaging, X-ray services Diagnosis of heart diseases, cardiograph, computerised renal dialysis among others, with 15 branches located in 10 states in the country.

As part of the company's plans to become the leading diagnostic company in West Africa, Akinnniyi stated that plans are underway to extend the company's business activities across Sub-Saharan African but added that Nigeria is the main target market.

Speaking on the company's on going expansion programmes, has said the company's multi-billion fully automated diagnostic faculty centre in Lagos would commence test running on the 17th of September, while the fertility of the company which according to him is of world class standard would commence operation on 30th September 2008.

The company, according to him, had concluded arrangements to open more branches at Ilorin, Onitsha, Akure, Abeokuta, Minna, Kano and Enugu.

On their future plans, he explained that the company has plans to partner with Procare Health Plan Incorporated, Detriot Michigan, United States, to establish the largest HMO in Nigeria.

The company would also diversify its services in terms of properties, food, and other basic needs of the society.

Akinniyi, while fielding questions from the stockbrokers explained that the company have put measures in place to ensure that the facilities are being up graded just as the spare parts to those facilities are also provided to ensure adequate maintenance.

"Our focus is service to the people, we have reference from the neighbouring countries, in terms of world best practices.

"We hope to extend our services, abroad but we will finish with Nigeria first, then extend to African sub-region then to the globe.

"We also want to look at food, home, shelter. Want to diversify to those areas that people must have need for to ensure high investment that will add value to the health," he said.

The Lady that wrote this article from where hispy99 copied it from made two mistakes.

1 -- UDCS PLC listed more than 2.9 billion ordinary shares at N3 each and not 1.9 billion ordinary shares.

2 -- UDCS PLC did a Private Placement and not an initial public offering in 2007.

The M.D also mentioned that they will diversify into food, home, shelter. And I hope he is Handing these other Areas to Experts in those Field because I dont see any relationship between a Medical Doctor and an Estate developer or Food Merchant.

He should not dare use our money to play Kalo Kalo all in the name of Diversifying.

I hope too. This idea of diversifying in other areas that is not related is good for concern. Is he going to set up real estate unit in a medical establishment?

If you can, I would suggest you go to thier Registrar to demand for your certificate.
