Hello House,

Any analysis on Bagco. Seeing that the stock has moved more than 25% in recent days, can the gurus in the house enlighten if this is just the work of the recently appointed market makers... or what exactly is driving the stock.

Like what Hispy99 posted, there is a merger between Flourmill and Bagco. People are bidding the stock so high because they know that soon a valuation for the price of Bagco would be announced in order for the merger to be consummated. So I believe people are buying now in case if the valuation(of Bagco) they would come up with becomes higher and they would gain!

I have been thinking if this was why one stockbroking house(in the recent past) placed the stock at N6!

I greet my elders and i wish them well.

Its been awhile since the hostile takeover of BAGCO was announced, surely there must be a timeframe for its conclusion and an approximate value that the shareholders will be offered for their "Golden" tickets.

Bros, I dont see how a parent coys assimilation of its subsidiary is hostile.

Bagco was spurned off from Flour Mills in the first place.

The question now is whether this takeover is still going to happen.

Its now more than a month since it was hinted by Flour Mills, but since then, nothing.

I want to believe that the final onslaught is on for this stock.

It has been on serious bid today.

A pity I could not load before now and I will have to make do with the "thachere" units I was allocated during the public offer.

At least that will take me into Flour Mills-never thought I would one day own Flour Mills.

If at all it is true that you only have 'thachere' units of Bagco and you are now happy that you will at long last been able to enter Flour mills, don't you think your units in Flour Mills will come to '0.0001thachere' units of Flour Mills and do you think such insignificant units in flour mills is worth it?. Why don't you go for the cash option with your 'thachere' units?.

In conclusion, you do not have 'thachere' units of bagco. You are one of the Directors of Bagco by virtue of your large holdings.
