This company is on by bet list. If they make N2b PAT in a couple of years that means a PE of 1. If things get equal this is a possibility. I wonder what the analysts and insiders have to say. This could be my gift to those who bet on the NSE IN SMN.

Confused: Why are you expecting a PAT of N2B? Any indication?

Oga Babs: in Yoruba, we say, "ala ti o ni le se." Translation: wishful thinking.

Go and ask some of the staff of the various subsidiaries of this group whether they share this your optimistic outlook. (Some of them are owed more than 12 months salaries--including CEOs/GMs.) Go and find out key staff/CEO/GM churn rates too. Also go and ask some banks they owe what aggressive plans they are putting together to recover their NP loans. I will not say more than this.

If they are owed that much and they are still around, they are either no good and can't go anywhere, or they are sticking around believing there will be a turn around.

"Hope" they say , is that quintessential element that may be the source of man's greatest strength or greatest weakness.
In this case i consider it a weakness both for the company and the staff.

You obviously missed the connection of the churn rate to this in my earlier post.

Why una come dey pass this thing around na? Reminds me of how Tom & Jerry used to toss dynamite back and forth until one of them holds it too long...

Make una kuku just bail out the company na. At least una go average down purchase cost against the time they will make PAT of N2 billion wey Oga Babs don predict. At least I know say Oga Omydee dey hold for 7 years and Oga Babs talk say them go make the N2b PAT in a few years.

I have thanked you the SMN way. This your assignment big for me. Like giving 1+1 assignment to nursery School child. I will still attempt the assignment sha, I hope forumites will give me expo. I will resist any further purchase (bets) till I see further results and annual report from them suggesting if their toll gates have started collecting money. They indicated they could start making a profit from 2011 Q1 based on the last forecast to NSE.

I can see some gamblers (or is it investors with insight) have been mopping up their oustanding offers in one or two million tranches looking a market transactions this year. I am betting that since they have low oustanding shares about 4 billion units and the MD said in the last annual report that they are investing in infrastructure and would soon start making profit. If they make just some fraction of what they dreamt about in the PP doc then N2b PAT should be doable. And this will give a PE of 1 for those that bought now at 50k. I have no further info than this oh.
