but for nnow, the registrar wil issue the cert seperately

I Am not saying that you wont receive both certificates, but that the name would be DAAR COMMUNICATIONS PLC regardless of whether it is the offer for sale or the offer for subscription you bought.

I received the larger of the two anticipated DAAR Certificates on the 23rd October and lodged it with Zenith Securities for verification the same day.

It was confirmed verified and dematerialised and showing in my CSCS portfolio yesterday. That is only 8 working days, must be some kind of a record!!!

Still waiting on the other cert though

8days?
thats cool man
that means i have to submit my cert with immediate effect!!!

but hey, am still waiting for the other one, why cant NIPOST send the two together?
i mean thats waste of human resources, because they can just shuffle the letters and send the ones going to the same location/area, that way even if u have ten letters, you can get it at once, their dispatch guy do not need to visit me ten times.

Perhaps money made by NIPOST is not re-injected back to the busy centres like Lagos and some other states. But shared evenly amongst states based on numbers of Local Governments etc. Hence the workers have little incentives to handle the large volume of mails in some really busy states. I suspect this is part of the reasons dividends and mails show up faster in some states than others.

It is because of this thier Rubbish I decided to open a P.O Box because even after they have sorted the letters out, it sometimes take them one full week or more to deliver them to the owners for reasons best known to them.

And even with the Box opened, I still have to call someone working there to be on the look out for me whenever I am expecting a mail so that I get it on time if not the story would be different.

hmmmmmmmm, that is equivalent to inside trading oo!!!!

bros, so u have to go thru all that to get your mail?
listen to mine.

in recent time, i discover than mail no longer reach me as fast as they use to be, almost all the important mails i received from the uk are thru the help of private courier coy based in the uk! at the rate of about N16000 per mail!!! that way i have peace of mind as my mail will be pick up from the office/sender and deliver to me in three days.
i just discover that 16k is not too much to pay for peace of mind waiting for nipost would have cost me.

Well, i guess all this company shld start making use of private courier coy that will make delivery of share certificate fast.
abi i asked for too much?

At times, Some kind of insider dealing is very neccessary.

Spending 16K for an important mail is not too much at all. We have seen & heard situations where mails from Abroad got lost in Transit. (The Naija Factor).

And I am aware of the fact that first registrars especially and a few others are using local private courier companies that do deliver these mails to post offices nationwide and end there leaving the rest of the work to NIPOST officials that are as slow as snail.

Maybe these private courier companies should be made to do more but the e-dividend and e-allotment policy should be properly implemented so that we can say goodbye to NIPOST wahala especially on issues partaining to the capital market. One of the ways some of the smaller registrars could have walked towards the e-platform was if they had gone ahead and Recapitalize before the Exercise was Abolished by the Regulators.

Strangely enough I recently received a dividend warrant that was delivered by a courier company.

Perhaps I should mention that the dividend related to my holdings in "Red Star Express".

Since they are the guys handling thier own certificate & dividend warrant delivery, it will be very effective.

Life gets better and better

I have just received my second DAAR Comm certificate in regard of the offer of sale.

As stated earlier by Bluemoney it is also headed DAAR Communications plc.

Anyway that is my holdings now complete, just have to wait and see if Zenith can beat the 8 days it took for the last cert to be dematerialised.
