Take time to read through the pages of this thread and you will see a package sale from Afrinvest for N15. You can call Afrinvest if it is still available for purchase.

Default Starcomms - In today's market.

What would happen to Starcomms if it were listed in today's market? Do people still looking to buy take that into consideration?

This doesn't really follow, it is only an approval for the placement/offer which 4 pps are only a formality but aids in listing subsequently on the exchange.
Notice that chams has long been approved and yet they'v not listed as against Omatek that dint even appear on the 'Approve new issues' page is already available on the floor of the NSE.

Going by the link provided above, Starcomms will be listed at N13. Judging by recent PPs that have listed (Omatek, Tanties), you might be able to get Starcomms cheaper than N13

Default Starcomms listing

Proshare news has it that SEC will be meeting on Friday to consider Starcomms application for listing. This seems to give credence to IBTC's expectation that Starcomms will list before the end of August.

Was the PP done at 50k per value or N1 par value because the listing is at 13.65 per 50k on monday while I know that the PP was around N12. Does it mean that those that took part in the PP didnt make much profit?

The par value was 50k. Yes they wont be making much profit. Infact some bought at N15. Furthermore some units will be available on Monday to buy. From what i read, stockbroking firms are allowed to bid no more than 500,000 units on Monday. So if u are interested u can ask ur broker to bid on ur behlaf.

The reality is they are listing at a difficult time and anything can happen.

The era of making huge returns on PP's seems to be over.

Zainab - Pretty much don't expect an upward swing on DAY 1 of this listing on secondary market?

Interesting that they have units available considering most people that purchased pp did not get all their allotment
