The minimum bid 20 million, is it in naira value or unit of shares?

N20m worth of shares!! It is in Naira as indicated in my initial post.

Guys, i salute your efforts, but in reality what will individual investors like me have to do to get a piece of this ''cake''? I want to plan ahead, moreso i am not based in Nigeria.

Got a group of 6 people to raise the 20m so we sent in a bid this evening!!! No document nothing but hype. No price was indicated in our bid. Heard already that bids were at the upper limit (11.26). The retail investors own will be only 25% with all teh wahala of refund money. I assume that some brokerage house will sell to their clients though.

I know for a fact that one of my brokers is participating as we discussed this last week. Citi Investment Capital ltd (CICL). I was told to go and look for 20M if i want to participate at the first level, however they are not sure how much or if they are going to sell to thier clients. I have put my name down anyway.

Also the BID as i understand it is still open. It did not close last Friday as widely said. I am in dialogue with one of the brokers who will be putting a bid in tomorrow.

Just spoke with IBTC and they can still accommodate high networth guys with the required 20m.

Like minds ( i think) can also put head together and do the 20m. But i do not know if this forum can bring such like minds together within this short time for this purpose at this time.

Well 20 million is a tall order, given the lenght of notice, especially if you are residend abroad like myself. I guess we retail investors have to wait for another opprtunity, any advice will be appreciated.

The STARCOMMS private placement is out but it requires heavy investors to utilize the opportunity. According to infomation available to me,the offer is currently in the hands of a few stock broking houses who are seeking to sell a few high networth individuals and corporate bodies.As it is the price may be in the region of N10-N15 PER UNIT,while investors may be required to purchase no less than 500,000 units.I will keep you posted.......
