i have not come across the details yet, but is actually noting to worry about especially if starcom had been performing. it will just be like a listed coy that did an offer (which is actually the situation). the name may just be change like chevron to Mrs etc.

Hmmm............well here's hoping to something good for shareholders and share price

I honestly don't see how this acquisition will turn around the fortunes of starcomms.... Of course, part of the funds would be used to settle their over burdening debts but competetively, the gap between them and the big 4 operators is massive...

They are still a long way from profitability.... very very long way...

and entered at 0.55K so unless the starcomms goes under on Biblical proportions...........I sitting pretty for now

i think because of the mono'handset' nature of CDMA, the technology will be a hard sell in third world country. with all the euphera of visa launching its blackberry service, i do not see why i should buy a BB that i cannot use when i travel. i actually would have prefared using starcom when i bought my bold 5 sometime ago but the same limitation made me go for a GSM line. i dont know if the number portability will even include them.

Hello, pls is anyone utilising the MTN modem for their internet connection on laptop in Lagos. I have been having problems connecting to the inernet on my laptop since friday. Sorry, didn't know the right thread for this.

It could be a network problem,but u can remove d sim and insert it in any mobile device to c if it wil connect.If it does,then put it back in ur modem
