This is a matter of freedom. If you dont have many possessions then you dont need to work all your life like a slave to sustain them, and therefore you have more time for yourself, he says.

He was shot six times and spent 14 years in jail. Most of his detention was spent in harsh conditions and isolation, until he was freed in 1985 when Uruguay returned to democracy.

Those years in jail, Mujica says, helped shape his outlook on life.

Im called the poorest president, but I dont feel poor. Poor people are those who only work to try to keep an expensive lifestyle, and always want more and more, he says.

The trade with Russia is totally lopsided. In the current year, the Russians exported about $350m (about N56bn) worth of goods to Nigeria, and Nigeria exported nothing.

That is precisely why I am working to ensure that the imbalance is corrected, I am meeting with the chambers of commerce of the Russian Federation and of Moscow.

I am meeting with Russian banks and investment houses and I am also meeting with major players in the oil industry.

Do you have to be exceedingly wealthy to make your mark? And if I may ask what is the mark you want to make?

Yes I do, and as for the mark, let's just say it's not what'll come to the average mind.

Not necessarily, some are born great, some achieve greatness while some have greatness thrust upon them. I guess Oga Nosa is going for the second option since he was not born with Usain Bolt's genes and doesn't want to hang around for some people to thrust greatness upon him like GEJ.

I believe the future of the human race isn't on this planet and I'd love to do my bit to advance our evolution/migration.

There are some facts about this world that aren't in contention, firstly the sun would die and assuming we haven't blown ourselves (human race) up then the earth would die. This means that ultimately for our species to survive we have to haul our asses off this planet and find a new home, or better still become a migratory species. Unfortunately we're not even remotely near having the technological capacity to achieve what needs to be achieved but the good thing is we still have a few million years to achieve it.

Now the way I see it is that if I had a few billion dollars I could either give it to NASA to help fund the projects that would help get us to our goal or I could setup a prize like Mr. Nobel did with the Nobel prizes or I could setup a foundation in the developing world that'll fund schools to help search for the next Einstein, cause believe it or not those kids dying of starvation are a huge untapped resource.

Bottom line is I would like to make an impact on the worlds educational standard
