That forbe list get as e be, are you sure Dangote is the richest in Nigeria? This is debatable.

I will go for Dangote, but how come we don't have Babangida, Abacha,Obasanjo etc on the list.
I think politicians are not good managers of money, someone like Umaru Dikko ought to be one of the richest in Africa.

Hmmm..........Probably because the Forbes listed members can explain legally how they got so wealthy............and the bolded guys, may have a hard time doing the same

It will surprise you to know that most of these people that mouth corruption are worse than the government they accuse of corruption. If individuals wipe out corruption from their lives and their activities, corruption in government will automatically come to zero. If any of these Twitter corruption activities is arrested by FRSC for not wearing seat belt or not having extra tyre or not having fire extinguisher, instead of them to collect the ticket and go and pay, they will prefer to 'settle' the FRSC Marshal and once they are out of there, they will write on twitter that FRSC is corrupt and that the government is not doing enough to wipe out corruption.

Someone like Umaru Dikko embezzled tens of millions of pounds and dollars between 1979 and 1983. The government of Buhari and Idiagbon used Israeli commandos to kidnap him and bring him into the country. The operation was about 90% successful before it was foiled.

When Umaru Dikko, Adisa Akinloye were swimming in millions, the likes of Dangote, Adenuga, Ovia, Otudeko were either green horns in the art of wealth accumulation, or they were in School.

We make very little from Oil, yet there is no accountability for the little we make. We need to have institutions that can curb the menace of corruption to the barest minimum. We need to diversify our economy, our value system and attitude to work has to change.
Programmes that will catalyse economic activities and opportunities all over the country should be initiated by all stakeholders. Government have no business running businesses, this should be left to the private sector.

Government should not spent tax payers money repairing the refineries or establishing another national airline, I see these as white elephant projects.

Yes, we make "little" from oil. Last year we made $7B less. Assuming we tackle oil theft and cut this in half, we'll make an additional $3.5B, more than the projected external borrowing for 2013! The biggest subsidy in Nigeria is corruption/fraud, cut that first!!

How come the richest nations tend to have the 'cleanest' govts. If you are willing to confront corruption/nepotism, you are more likely to make decisions and policies that favour the majority not the few. Corruption is about rewarding a few, if you are tough on this, you'll probably make policies and create the environment to enrich 'the many'.

You will see the corruption in FRSC next year or two when you want to renew your autoreg vehicle license!

Besides,are they meant to be on a highway/expressway checking for fire extinguisher? Most times if you take the ticket, try and verify the account number to know who you pay to? It may be to one Mr. Alao Emabinu!

There is confusion with the introduction of the new vehicle number plate. People go to FRSC to pay while some go to Board of internal revenue to pay. There are already fakes of these numbers but people don't know. It is when you go for renewal the following year that you will be told that your number is not registered under your name but on someone else's name in another location! And if you ask what needs to be done about that anomaly, you will be told to redo the registration of number plate and you will bear the cost.

My belief is that the budget benchmark should be set at $63.99 per barrel for 2013. My opinion doesn't count though as the benchmark would be set at $75 - $80 any way.
