@wanaj0 – It’s not that I disagree with taxation; I just think that a budget deficit is an easier way to finance expenditure for now. Funding through taxation requires considerably effort. Deficit funding on the other hand requires primarily, and in the main, the willingness of banks or capital markets to lend. Additionally it also provides an opportunity to increase the number of people in the PAYE scheme.

Its quite ironic that Dangote has become one of the richest persons in the world and No 1 in Africa without any known involvement in the oil business.

there is one oil fractionate( i can't remember the name) use by industry. At a point Dangote was the sole importer. That was why some people accused him of killing the cotton industry and some other industry, they claim he starved them of the oil

He has some interests in the JDZ(Joint Development Zone) in Sao-Tome under Dangote Equity Energy Resources Ltd.

Nations own the oil resources so they make the money from oil.Resources

Properties and commodities are areas that people make a lot of money. Dangote is strong in commodities (salt, sugar, flour, cement etc)
